TNR Hills and the FarmHER Co-op
TNR Hills sets up with the FarmHER Co-op at markets and events around the area. Where the farm will be next, and when the next farm event is, goes up on the TNR Hills Facebook page.
About the farm
TNR Hills is a 13-acre farm in Kansas City, Kansas, owned and run by women and family. Alongside the gardens there are chickens and ducks for eggs and a herd of dairy goats.
In 2024 the farm received a grant from the FruitGuys Community Fund for a solar-powered portable fence and pasture and pollinator seed, so the goats could be grazed in rotation for healthier soil.
What rotational grazing did
According to the fund's report on its 2024 grantees, the goats' grazing changed the land enough that a pond on the farm, dry for years, filled up with water again.
